 as I'm running 2.5.3.0 (now the debug version); and the crash occurs after
 I receive offline messages over MSN. Pidgin does not crash when I disable
 my MSN account, neither when I disable it just before the last offline
 message is received.

 saul11, this debug report is a dup of #7901. I'm sorry that the suggested
 workaround I've seen of logging in with the web messenger doesn't seem
 work for you; that crash will be fixed in 2.5.4, which should be out soon-
 ish.
