Comment:

 The error message is "xxxxxx disconnected" with a choice of editing the
 login information or "retry". re entering the information,  such as
 "xxxxx at yahoo.com" instead of "XXXXXX" without the "@yahoo.com" makes no
 difference. neither of them work. Yet, it works just fine on MSN
 Messenger, perfectly.  It happened after one weekend when Yahoo was doing
 site maintenence. I note the Old Yahoo! provided ymessenger does not work
 pretty much the same thing, says "disconnected" along with a note that it
 is out of date.  and Kopete does not work well either.  I wonder if it
 could be a Mandriva upgrade?? I tried turning off the firewall, no change.
   This has happened on both a 32 bit computer running Mandriva and a 64
 bit running 32 bit Mandriva. Seems to be hardware independent.
   I used Pidgin for several years, and then all of a sudden it quits.  By
 the way, THANK YOU to all the people who have worked on Pidgin!!!  Your
 efforts are VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
