Comment:

 In effect, once I removed by "yum remove" the NetworkManager and its
 dependences[[BR]]
 and then restarted and connected the computer, Pidgin has begun to work
 properly,[[BR]]
 of course I think that, from now on, I'll have to set all the other
 connections[[BR]]
 manually (i.e. dongle key modems) or I'll have to reinstall the
 NetworkManager[[BR]]
 again. Anyway, Pidgin now it works. Thanks.
