 Hi all,

I am trying to configure and compile 2.5.4, and have not been able to add
in the Perl scripting support. I am using Fedora 10, and have the package
perl_devel installed but the configure script still outputs "Perl
development headers not found." and "checking for Perl compile flags...
not found, building without perl." I have also tried to supply the
directory where the header files are installed by using the with-perl-lib
option and CPPFLAGS, PERL_CFLAGS and even PERL_LIBS (I found the last two
variables from the config.log file) but none of them works. I have checked
the config.log file after some failed tried, and found that none of the
perl related variables were set, except the perlpath, which was usually
 set to /usr/bin/perl.
