 /usr/lib/libxml2.so.2.4.2

 Original distro is quote old - RedHat 7.2 - but heavily upgraded since
 then.
 But I usually do not erase old stuff in /usr/lib and/usr/bin even when
 superceded by new versions in /usr/local just in case something still
 using it.
 Actually I thought I had exported the LD_LIBRARY_PATH but I had switched
 to a different id.

 I think maybe it might be a good thing for pidgin make to set rpaths in
 the binaries to avoid this, although I know there are pros and cons of
 rpaths. Anyway I am kicking myself I didn't realize.

 BTW - I still have this error from libjabber (different from the
 libjabber error from when using wrong libxml2) but assume I can ignore it
 as I don't use jabber:
 (10:22:25) plugins: /usr/local/lib/purple-2/libjabber.so is not usable
 because the 'purple_init_plugin' symbol could not be found. Does the
 plugin call the PURPLE_INIT_PLUGIN() macro?
