 Note for anyone trying to use these: the patches here are somewhat
 outdated (ignore everything); the "latest" version of these (same) patches
 is maintained at
 [http://trac.macports.org/browser/trunk/dports/net/pidgin/files
 /gtkdocklet-quartz.diff MacPorts]. The updates have not been posted here,
 to avoid cluttering up Pidgin's Trac, since it's unknown when if ever
 Pidgin developers are going to look at this.

 The patch involves a GTKStatusIcon implementation that can be used instead
 of the X-specific tray icon, and some changes to the autotools setup to
 allow using it. [Note that although the version there includes an extra
 field in ui_ops to get the "blink" working, that change of API can be
 easily removed or modified as in gtkstatusicon.5.diff above.]
