 Yes, it is a really unpleasant bug. Sometimes I'm even getting ping
 timeout from the server (I'm absolutely sure, that the server is awake,
 another messenger is connected to it). It can take more than 5 mins to
 connect to server. It'll be great to see this bug fixed. I'm attaching a
 piece of output from pidgin -d, hope it'll help you somehow. I'm using
 2.5.3, btw.
