Comment:

 I think our existing buddy pounce functionality is sufficiently
 complicated (enough so that it confuses people with some frequency) that
 this would indeed be best supported via a plugin.

 I am open to integrating plugin-supplied pounces with pidgin-supplied
 pounces wherever that makes sense when the plugin is loaded.
