 Xfce 4 Desktop Environment
 version 4.4.2 (Xfce 4.4)
 pidgin built from source - 2.5.4

 Start pidgin, minimize to tray, restore - repeat the minimize-restart
 combo 2-3 times and the pidgin window will maximize.
