 I am trying to combine two buddies (one on Y! Messenger, other on MSN)
 into a single contact. When I drag-drop them together it seems to work,
 and the blist.xml is updated correctly (with both the buddies wrapped in
 the single "contact" tag pair). On exiting Pidgin the file is also
 correct, however when re-opening Pidgin the buddies are split out again
 and the blist.xml is rewritten to reflect this.

 Looking at the debug logs produced during startup I noticed the below:
 (NB: My Y! list is called "Friends" and my MSN list is called
 "Individuals"

 group), adding him to group Friends.
 ...
 (12:13:14) yahoo: Deleting Buddy XXXX at hotmail.com from group Individuals.

 (real email replaced with XXXX for privacy).

 I have noticed that combining a GTalk buddy with MSN works as expected.
