 Pidgin seems to have trouble connecting to Yahoo and IRC accounts when
 there is BitTorrent activity on the same connection, even when I limited
 the BitTorrent upload rate to less than half the available upstream
 bandwidth.

 Attached below are the debug logs, set to "All" level of reporting, as I
 tried to connect one-at-a-time to a Yahoo account, then a IRC account,
 then a MSN account.  The MSN account immediately established a connection,
 but the Yahoo and IRC accounts both stalled on "connecting" and never
 successfully connected.  With IRC, occasionally I will get a notification
 that I've joined the server, yet any /join #channel commands will go
 unheeded.

 Also attached are the results of pinging the Yahoo and IRC servers as
 Pidgin attempted & failed to connect.  From the successful pings, it seems
 that BitTorrent was not preventing data from getting through in a timely
 manner.  So I don't understand why Pidgin is having so much trouble here.
