 If you can't trust the people running the kiosk then you can't trust the
 software they've installed on the kiosk, what other software they may be
 running, or the operating system either. So you've already lost,
 "security" features or not.

 They could simply patch out the feature and leave the gui for it in place,
 as just one example of the dozens of things they could do to fool you.
