 Yes, that worked. However, for reference, I was able to log into a
 different machine and display pidgin back to my desktop, and I was able to
 open the preferences panel. So there might be slight library differences
 (if anything, my machine is more up to date). But seeing that Solaris 10
 is so far behind on gtk, this might creep up again for someone else.
