 Issue:[[BR]]
 Inside of contact list is black. The window frame is still blue, and the
 title is still present (but that is it).

 Expected:[[BR]]
 The contact list should display the list of contacts and status dropdowns.

 Steps to reproduce:[[BR]]
 1. Open Pidgin[[BR]]
 2. Leave it running while you work for a while.[[BR]]
 3. Check the contact list and observe that it is black.

 Notes:[[BR]]
 I haven't narrowed it down to a specific time period or action. I am a
 software engineer, so I am on my computer all day every day. It occured on
 all previous versions in the last year or two as well.
