#9601: Joining an IM conference twice confuses pidgin

 Say I get invited to an IM conference via Yahoo! by person A, with persons
 B, C, and D already in. Later on, Person E joins and invites me to the
 same conference, and I accept.

 I now have two conferences open which should be identical, but Pidgin
 treats them as separate (somewhat). Persons A, B, C, D, and myself show up
 in conference 1, but no new posts display. Person E and myself, along with
 any others who join afterward, show up in conference 2 along with all new
 chatter.

 If I now close conference 2, in the hopes that all this merges back into
 the conference one window, I now am considered to have left the conference
 entirely (even though I still have conference 1 window open). I can still
 see what people type, but I do not appear in the meeting to them and
 cannot talk.
