 actually when the yahoo got disconnected, on the buddy list pidgin
 notified me with this error message:

 Unknown error number 52. Logging into the Yahoo! website may fix this.
 Modify Account or Re-enable
 }}}

 we have to click re-enable in order to get connected again. this usually
 happens 3 times a day (8am-5pm).

 we have 2 ISPs at the office, some of them use the one, and the rest use
 the other, and they does experience the same thing in random cases. me
 myself use the original yahoo messenger 9 on windows 7 rc x64 and haven't
 experienced any of the above symptoms. i just watched their sign-in and
 sign-on notification and heard their complain regarding the disconnecting
 and stuff.

 i'll try debuggin one of them who often experience the symptoms next
 monday.
