 This is NOT a Pidgin issue. I found after a long search this site:

 In it, the bottom line is this:
 The problem has to do with malaware, and a programm called hide my ip.
 you are looking for a file called securenet.dll which seems to be the
 culprit of all these Debug assertion failures.
 keep in mind this debug failure IS NOT RELATED TO THE PROGRAMM THAT SEEMS
 TO BE GENERATING THE DEBUG ..
