 Since I was having those problems I reverted back to Gaim for a while. I'm
 now on a new machine with a Windows x64 variant running Pidgin again. Out
 of habit I restart Pidgin every few days still and haven't been checking
 its memory usage. I'll try to leave it open and report back.
