 Just managed to add an AIM buddy to another group (so he's now on my buddy
 list twice, in two separate groups) and appear online in both places.

 Tried this on Pidgin 2.5.8, Ubuntu 9.04.

 As there's been no response/update for some time, this could be closed or
 set to pending.
