 As seen below, this was never resolved. If you can have someone else
 develope the interface why cant you? many people are using blackberry now
 and this would be a great option for it but why rely on someone else to
 develop it for you.

 Make a version for the BlackBerry?! It would be great to have one app that
 logged you into all of your IMs for the BB.

 It isn't likely that porting pidgin to the blackberry is possible, but it
 may be possible for someone to write a client based on libpurple (I don't
 know anything about the blackberry api).

 AFAIK the blackberry API is only available through Java. So a libpurple
 client wouldn't be possible.
