Comment:

 This seemed to be a relatively simple formatting issue of 4 extra pixels.
 I spent hours researching and documenting for this thread. The
 conversation was taken off track into the controversial protocol icons and
 to "People shouldn't be switching back and forth" and let lie dormant for
 more than a year.

 Sure, close it.
