 My system specs:
 - Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
 - 6GB RAM DDR3
 - Windows Vista Business SP1 x64

 I only use AIM with Pidgin.  Pidgin behaves normally at launch time.
 After an indeterminate amount of time (usually 1 - 3 hours), all but a
 handful of users appear as offline.  However, the application will still
 receive and send messages normally and my account status appears as online
 for other AIM users.
