 I am thinking about pursuing this, but I agree porting the whole thing
 would be crazy. However, I would think compiling libpurple for Windows CE
 and building a new UI to link to it would be the best idea.

 Can anyone point me to what tools I would need in order to compile
 libpurple this on Windows w/ Cygwin? I would target ARM processors first
 (since all my PDAs and phone use it). I have the development environment
 set up already on my Windows XP machine and compiled Pidgin 2.5.8 and a
 modified version of Carrier 2.5.7 without problems.
