 I think this was fixed last summer with the great Adium/Pidgin XMPP server
 DDOS (or whatever other name it has) due to users flitting between groups.

 If it's still an issue, please wait for Pidgin 2.6.0 and attach a new
 debug log (there is enhanced debug output for the roster handling code)
