 I can specify a command line.  This means that if there was some way
 already in place to tell Pidgin to shut down programmatically, I could
 write a little program to do it that way.  However, by "send a message" I
 mean that I can specify a command that will be run when the drive is
 ejected.  Perhaps I could achieve this by sending a WM_CLOSE message to
 Pidgin, but I don't know how to get the correct window out of a PID.
