 No, I am not.  It appears to have been fixed at some point.  I'm running
 Debian's build of Pidgin 2.5.8 (2.5.8-1+b1 to be exact), and now my group
 chat window properly appears with no conversation windows open of any
 kind, and Pidgin does NOT crash.
