Comment:

 Strange. Tried one offline buddy -- message accepted as if she were
 online. Tried with another -- "Unable to send message: Not logged in".
 Switched to his AIM alter ego via Send To -- accepted. Switched back to
 the other account -- error. Went through a pile of not-seen-in-a-long-time
 buddies -- all worked except one. Still an issue somewhere, but not one I
 generally see as I rarely if ever leave anyone messages any more. I think
 I only leave messages now for one person, via ICQ.
