 I think we probably wouldn't distribute a plugin in libpurple or Pidgin
 that does this--there simply isn't enough demand.  Do we generally only
 use "Plugins Welcome" for plugins that we would be willing to distribute
 ourselves?

 But I also think it's likely that our privacy API will do client-side
 blocking in the future, so this will become a moot point.
