New description:

 fix: always insert a space after the first quote, and before the last one.
 I have seen this problem in some other conditions, but i forgot which
 cases..

 No, it's not dup. I never had the bug #7107 during a chat (and I use Gaim
 since before version 0.8 ). I am having this bug especially when asking
 for buddy details/info. So I think that fixing 7107 will/may *NOT* fix my
 issue.

 Furthermore, some URL does contain parenthesis and semicol ... so
 specificaly for info boxes, there is an easy fix. If i write in a chat
 http://wikipedia.org/some article ... the engine can hardly know if I
 wanted to express HREF="http://wikipedia.org/some article" or
 HREF="http://wikipedia.org/some" ... so the fix for both bugs may differ.
