 Sulabh, I can't reproduce this in Pidgin 2.6.0devel (running something
 from the last 24 hours or so).

 However, I have one issue. When I set the alias in Pidgin, it syncs to the
 server and I can see it in the Yahoo webmessenger. When I changed the
 alias there and logged back in to Pidgin, the change was not reflected.

 It seems that the issue is that yahoo_fetch_aliases_cb calls
 serv_set_alias, not purple_serv_got_private_alias, the distinction being
 the latter is used to store a private alias on the server (allowing it to
 be shared between computers), but is something the user specifically set.

 Are the aliases being retrieved in `yahoo_fetch_aliases_cb` ones that the
 user set or do they also come from other sources (i.e. the buddy)?
