Comment:

 I believe those windows are simply created as dialogs and then left to the
 window manager to display as it sees fit. There has been some discussion
 lately about the fact that pidgin may create some windows as dialogs that
 it probably shouldn't (and thus triggers behaviour that some users
 dislike). In these cases however I'm rather convinced we are doing the
 right thing.

 Do they get given focus when other applications are focused or only when
 other pidgin windows are focused?
