 Yes, I still see this with the 2.5.8 version from [https://launchpad.net
 /~pidgin-developers/+archive/ppa the PPA], though I ''think'' that this
 doesn't happen on the portable windows version. It could be my
 imagination, because the windows computer is set to not remember passwords
 (and, as such, has more time to login to the xmpp server, perhaps?)
