Comment:

 This looks a lot like a null printf crash from a failed assert in
 `g_type_check_instance_cast`. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess
 it's been fixed. Please get an updated backtrace from Pidgin 2.5.8 if that
 is incorrect.
