 Using ''Pidgin'' for ''Jabber'', in a company using ''Jabber'' for all
 it's employees (thousands, Users and groups/group names are automatically
 populated) - It would be useful to be able to hide certain users and
 groups from the ''Buddy List''.

 For example, the '''"Iranian Product team"''' - You never deal with them,
 you don't want them cluttering up your ''Buddy List''.  You can't remove
 them as they'll just pop up again next time you login and Pidgin syncs the
 list - If the million-to-one scenario that they do want to talk to you
 comes up, you still want to take the message.
