 Services on other protocols (except as presented through an XMPP
 transport) do not have the same sort of discovery/usage system and so this
 model is really not appropriate for them. We should support those services
 in pidgin directly whenever possible, as their usage and features are
 known and unchanging. (Assuming that is what you were talking about.)
