 Seems that crashes come in pairs.  I could be running pidgin for a while
 and it will just crash.  Then upon restarting it, it crashes almost
 immediately.  But if I restart a second time, it seems to work fine.

 I wonder if, after the crash, restarting it crashes but also clears
 something out.  Then starting it again is successful because of that.

 It's pretty predictable for me.
