 Pidgin crashes on startup.  Here's the rough journal:

 1. Last night Pidgin crashed after working ffine for hours. (v2.5.4)
 2. Restarting program put icon in taskbar, program crashed when trying to
 open buddy window.
 3. Restarting computer and program multiple times yielded same results.
 4. Upgraded to v2.5.6, restarted computer, results identical.
 5. Following help recommendation, installed debug version.
 6. debug started once and allowed buddy window to open, then crashed.
 7. debug version now presents identical to previous version, except starts
 with buddy window open and immediately crashes.
 8. .rpt file attached.
