Comment:

 The server is simply busted. Your account configuration in the 2.5.6
 account settings is eb at Dadeschools/Jabber and in 2.5.5 is
 ebustamante at jabber/Home. The server is accepting both of those initially
 (which it almost certainly shouldn't be and is an issue I've seen with
 Openfire before) but then apparently returning different results once you
 are successfully logged in.

 If you compare the vCard results at line 73 of the 2.5.5 log against the
 vCard results at line 75 of the 2.5.6 log you will see that they are
 different (note the differing NICKNAME, USERID, and ORGNAME values). I'm
 willing to bet that the 2.5.5 account settings when run with pidgin 2.5.6
 will get you the 2.5.5 logs results, assuming as you indicated that the
 2.5.5 log you uploaded came from the portable 2.5.5 version.

 The logs just get more different from there as with the incorrect account
 settings the server is confused and doesn't return the things it appears
 it should be returning, which is likely why it isn't sending you the right
 presence from your buddies. I would suggest you may want to report this to
 the people running your server but I'm not sure there is much they can do
 about this as I think it is largely an Openfire bug.
