 So far  it is happening with both. I have the very latest Yahoo beat
 Messenger that came out a few days ago. I don't want to open it to find
 out because I am currently successfully connected to Adium.

 Is there a way to up the debugging level in Adium or Pidgin to get more
 information?

 And if successfully connecting in the real Messenger clears any account
 lock, why don't Adium/Pidgin do that also?
