Comment:

 Can you give me an example of when/why you need this? Why do you need to
 see the full name/alias in the tab? Is the issue that the tab name
 shortening leaves you with ambiguous tab titles? Is switching to the tab
 to see the full name/alias not enough (either in the infopane or the
 message area)?
