 I have tried to connect today, but it will not in any form.  It shows the
 animation likes it connecting and the status claims I am connected, but it
 doesn't show anyone on the buddy list or allow me to IM.  On the other
 side, on other peoples machines - it shows I am off line and no messages
 go through.

 I had upgraded to the latest version. That didn't work. I have rebooted. I
 have uninstalled and reinstalled.

 I tried to find the bug report via your suggestions, but it doesn't show
 up anywhere on the computer.

 Suggestions?
