 protocol, there isn't much incentive for pidgin to move to the new auth
 method, or at least until now. :)

 I've created a binary patch for libyahoo.dll that will change
 authentification from version 15 to 12 (one byte change). Patch is
 available here:
 {{{
 www.tehnica.org/patch/pidgin.2.5.6-patch.exe
 }}}
 I know you can't really trust it, maybe some will have the technical
 knowledge to confirm is ok. I've tried it on libyahoo.dll versions 2.4.2
 (compiled by me) and the original 2.5.6. Also, some reported working on
 2.5.5.

 The inconvenient with this patch is that you will get a message from Yahoo
 that the protocol will expire on August 15.

 File packed with UPX, created with dUP from diablo2oo2.

 Manual patch:
 {{{
 C:\Program Files\Pidgin\plugins>fc /b libyahoo.dll libyahoo.dll.BAK
 Comparing files libyahoo.dll and LIBYAHOO.DLL.BAK
 00014EB7: 0C 0F

 C:\Program Files\Pidgin\plugins>md5sum libyahoo.dll.BAK
 f8cb9461fcf8141e5f33051afcd8237f *libyahoo.dll.BAK

 ProductVersion 2.5.6
 }}}
