 I found something in the log about "Not caching body, no UserName".  I
 remember the first time I set a myspace IM account up on Pidgin, it said
 that I had no username, and asked if I would like to set one up now.  I
 selected no, but I have since deleted that account and created a new one.

 Could this be the problem?  If so, how do I create the username?
