Comment:

 The proxy is an IM compliance solution.  Y! Messenger is able to log in
 w/o issue using SOCKS 4/5.  Pidgin unfortunately does not.  Does this mean
 that the Y! Messenger client (v9.0) doesn't authenticate using SSL?
