 A backtrace is impossible, as the program does not crash per se, it just
 sits there and does nothing.
 Installing the 2.5.7 debug version, and manually killing the process does
 not generate a backtrace. On OS Windows XP SP3, 2.5.5 works, but
 attempting to install any version after that fails.
