 If the server has offline messages for your msn account, pidgin is no
 longer able to successfuly establish connection: it logs in (another
 client disconnects with "you are signed on from another location") but
 contact list is never shown.
 I tried msn-pecan plugin too and it can connect but periodically losts
 connection with "end of stream" error.
 I found this bug using Pidgin 2.5.4 under Windows but the Linux version
 had the same problem.

 Workaround:
 Retrieve all offline messages and the problem goes away.
