 I use Pidgin at work to talk to all of my coworkers in various departments
 (support, q/a, and other developers). I usually have anywhere from 5 to 10
 conversations going at a time, and I usually leave Pidgin running for
 several days. I tend not to close conversation windows at the end of the
 day: I just log out of my accoutns, but leave Pidgin running. After 3 or 4
 days running, Pidgin's memory usage is up several hundred MB. This exact
 amount depends on the number of conversations going. However, closing
 conversation windows or tabs does not cause any memory to be released.
 Closing all windows and logging out of all accounts does not release any
 memory. Pidgin will eventually crash because of this.
