 I would like to bring your attention to this news (in case you haven't
 heard about it yet):

 SILK, our super wideband audio codec, is now available for free
 http://share.skype.com/sites/en/2009/03/silk_now_available_for_free.html

 I don't know how much simpler it makes integrating Skype (if at all), but
 I hope it's helpful.
