Comment:

 The fact that you use the Show Offline Buddies menu item more than the
 other menu items is not an indication that everyone does. I have no idea
 what the general usage pattern is but I tend to believe Show Offline is a
 rarely used option for most people (especially with the 'Show when
 Offline' buddy entry right-click menu item).

 Furthermore, as the

 FAQ] indicates you can give this menu item a shortcut on your own.
