 I just upgraded to Pidgin 2.5.5, and every time I start it up now, it
 crashes (Windows says it has stopped working and gives me the option to
 either close it or debug it).

 Here's the information from the application log in Vista. I've also
 attached the .rpt file.

 Faulting application pidgin.exe, version 2.5.5.0, time stamp 0x49abebce,
 faulting module libmsn.dll, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49abebd4,
 exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00012be5, process id 0x10e8,
